Neighbors sue OC man who allegedly taped them with hidden cameras
(01-03) 16:48 PST Santa Ana, Calif. (AP) --
A man who pleaded guilty to taping his neighbors with high-powered video cameras was sued Tuesday by four people who claimed they were filmed without their knowledge. Two women were taped nude or seminude while another was filmed crossing and uncrossing her legs, said attorney Eric Traut, who represents the plaintiffs. The plaintiffs ? three women and the boyfriend of one of the women ? alleged that David Brown, 36, of Huntington Beach taped them using cameras hidden in a tree, his daughter's playhouse and the eaves and attic of his home. Scenes of the boyfriend were then spliced into the tapes, Traut alleged. Brown's criminal attorney, Bruce Karey, declined to comment and said he was not representing Brown in the civil case. It wasn't immediately clear who was representing Brown; a number listed for a David Brown in Huntington Beach was disconnected. The lawsuit was filed in Orange County Superior Court. It alleges invasion of privacy and emotional distress and seeks unspecified damages. Brown pleaded guilty last week to three misdemeanor counts of peeking by instrument, said Deputy District Attorney Susan Kang Schroeder. He was sentenced to four months in jail and three years of probation, she said. |

Where would you be naked that a camera could see you and a person couldn't? If you're naked where people might be looking it should be FAIR GAME.
