what is the best tracking program for hits/uniques, stats out there?

is webalizer the best?

Webalizer is pretty good...

If you can get a cronjob goin to compress the log files every night, do a search for Happylog... its a proggie on your desktop, you dload the server logs, and run it...

If I had time, Id use that... has so many fuckin details, its crazy. =)

For client side stats, i use stats4all. http://www.stats4all.com
They got hit by a bunch of DOS attacks a few months ago, but all seems well again..

Server side, i use webalizer.

Hey guys, what features of these stats programs do you like/dislike? I've got someone developing a new stats engine and would love to know..

Stats4all has a nice feature that collects the logins by .com, net and org then goes to the country extensions and puts those into English such as Germany, Netherlands etc etc Saces having to keep a list of the extensions if you get traffic from more countries than some people get


Sure helps to know who you are catering to more so you can change things around if the wrong countries are finding you more than the ones with cc's. :D

Did you all know stats4all is no longer accepting adult sites? I read that 2 months ago.

Webtrends is the best, just it might be a bit costly: http://www.webtrends.com
