You should checkout the freeware software Synergy. It will allow you to use a single keyboard and mouse on multiple computer, even if each is run on a different platform..,... |

using it now - 1 keyboard and 1 mouse controls 2 PCs and 3 screens :thumbsup :thumbsup |

You may ask why you need two KM switches, one software (Synegry), one hardware - for a simple reason, software KM switch works seamlesly which is very convenient and give you illusion of one big desktop, but you need both computers running. If you switch ON only one computer, the client which has no keyboard/mouse plugged in, you are out of luck. Here the hardware KM switch come to the resue! The same if your network gets cranky.:thumbsup |

In front of me, is my dual monitor setup and my keyboard and mouse for my 'main' computer. Ok, on my left, is another monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to a 32-port Raritan MX4 KVM that is connected to 30 computers sitting in the next room. Would it be possible to use this synergy thing with this setup? So many times I have wished i could just cut n paste something from this machine into the screen sitting on my left. |

This is me in my little working bunker.
A bit messy and dirty now since it was a weekend with a heavy workload, but I'll sort it out when I get a chance. 2 19" Viewsonic VG1921wm 5ms http://www.mediomediocre.com/imageho...ep_6d8ye_L.JPG http://www.mediomediocre.com/imageho...ol_8ot59_L.JPG |

man your desks are all so clean. Don't you do any work.
I have dual monitors like alot shown here. They are hooked to my desktop and then I remote desktop to my laptop (email and ICQ) and put that on one of the monitors. |
