Damn we had five earthquakes in 24 hours

No fatalities, just minor damages to buildings, but this thing is kind of disturbing, the hardest was 6.7 degrees in richter scale, the lowest 4.9 or so, I am in Sonora Mexico, three hours from Az.

Makes ya get twitchy eh? :winkwink: Same here!

So... here I was getting peace to work at a computer at 2 am on a Caribbean island and heard a train rumbling. Or shit - na, there are no trains here! Then the whole house shook for about 10 seconds, but sure felt longer than that.

Found out the next day the devil was moving the furniture 30 miles off the cost and about 3000 ft below the sea :winkwink:

Didn't sit too well with me either Babagirls - I got my ass outta that seat and into the garden damned quick! :1orglaugh

That was the first and probably the worst "session" with ground moving. There are tremors regularly here and more recorded but ya never notice them much - only when the walls start to shudder :1orglaugh

Ya never lived till you got your bones all shook up Babgirls or sit in the eye of a hurricane and puff a cigar or take a copter into the crater of a live volcano :1orglaugh

PS The helecopter shit can be dangerous tho if the volcanic ash hits the engine - sometimes you can't actually see the ash in the air, - it's just there.

I didn't even hear about this. I'm in Texas and they say I live on a fault line but there's never even been a little earthquake here my entire life. Knock on wood.

How often does that happen there aquaris?

thanks-
misty

tristan_D 01-05-2006 01:16 AM

that's pretty scary to imagine. hope nothing major would happen for now, although I know quake happens every second

reed_4 01-05-2006 01:35 AM

5 earthquakes in a day would make me move into another place.
