Now this was a scary flight
Coming back from Vegas a few days ago we were on the scariest fucking flight I've ever been on. There was severe turbulence most of the way, which doesnt bother me much, having flown planes in the past I know turbulance is fairly harmless. But as we were approaching the runway the pilot overshot the airport and immediately started to re-gain altitude but at the same time it seemed he panicked and rolled the plane to almost a 90 degree angle. People on the plane were fucking screaming and praying. Even though the pilot recovered the roll quickly it was at that point I was becoming concerned. It was obvious by the pilots constant over adjustments in both altitude and speed that he wasnt the most experienced pilot and that he was quickly losing confidence. So we come around again to line up to the runway and sure as hell he overshoots it again. Instead of aborting the landing he decides to go ahead and drop the plane so fucking hard on the runway that if you didnt have your seatbelt on you would have hit the ceiling of the plane. The plane bounced off the ground a few feet and when it hit again it started moving from side to side. At that point people were screaming even louder, it was fucking wild. This was no small plane, it was an MD-80 fully loaded with over 150 people. Luckily it turned out fine, but after it was over everyone was expressing their thanks for being alive. I've flown hundreds of times and have never seen anything like it.
