Ever watched a movie that made you cry?

I have seen a few that made me a little teary eyed but none that made me bawl like a baby. Some guys have told me the cried at the end of King Kong which makes me think they might be gay, not that I'm a homophobe. Ever gotten the sniffles while watching a flick?

Alvaro 12-31-2005 11:38 PM

schindler's list

King Kong had a sad ending. Not enough to make me cry though.

Lion King - admit it, everyone teared up

Monsters Ball - when the kid is talking to his dad on death row (for some reason it just got to me)

Life is Beautiful - maybe a little teary eyed at the end

A lot of people say I Am Sam but I didn't find it sad at all.

mikesinner 01-01-2006 01:07 AM

I got a little teary eyed when I saw "Bridges of Madison County" If you haven't seen Clint Eastwood's directorial debut you are missing out, he really banked on that film

OG LennyT 01-01-2006 01:07 AM

Braveheart

Green Mile (the book series and movie brought me tears)

Many movies. Life Is Beautiful definitely made me tear up in the end when the kid sees that tank after his father was murdered by the Nazis.

Red Ezra 01-01-2006 01:48 AM

surprisingly, ladder 49 did it for me recently - i think it was the thought of all those nyfd firemen that died on 9/11 - tough movie for me

erehwon 01-01-2006 01:50 AM

I once sat through The English Patient... :1orglaugh

Paraskass 01-01-2006 01:52 AM

dig420 01-01-2006 01:55 AM

Au Revoir, Les Enfants made me want to bawl

Grave of the Fireflies destroyed me.

yes but this was some really long time ago .

INever 01-01-2006 03:04 AM

Moulin Rouge for me too. Later I cried to the soundtrack once in my car. Long story, but let's just say I could relate to the story line....

But me and my buddie were the only ones laughing hysterical out loud at the beginning of theat movie. Fuckin' hysterical.

Oh, I cried during Gattica too.

Barefootsies 01-01-2006 06:21 AM

Yeah. I would not say bawling, but cry yeah.

For the longest time that one scene in, "Navy Seals", would do it. Still does. The one where that chick from Law & Order lost her fiance/hubby/bf.

Powerful performance.

So between that scene, and the following at the funeral where she asks, "If we had been married... would I have gotten the flag?".

**shudders**
