I think I must be! I am at home most weekends working working and more working. I check my sales,stats and e-mails all day long and don't like to be gone to long so I don't miss something lol. How many other have this problem? Melissa

Yea a lot of my friends don't understand! I try to tell myself this weekend will be different but it never is. Even when I do go out it's still business either taking pictures or doing events for the site or handing out business cards ect. Melissa

I wouldn't say its becoming a nerd but rather becoming successful. You're becoming passionate about your work, making a living and being a success.

If you are on the computer and making money you are getting ahead :) there is nothing wrong with that ;)

you're just taking care of business - successful entrepreneurs work far more hours than the average slob with a job. the sacrifices are worth it to most - imagine being 50 years old and you're still working for a boss, making 50k a year and you are looking ahead to retirement - unless you're born to a rich family the only way to attain financial freedom is by sacrificing alot of free time as a young person - most young attorneys and doctors work minimum 75 hour weeks - webmaster is no different

Good point and yes I do know 75 hours a week very well lol! I wasn't blessed with the rich family and I don't want to work till I am 50 so here I am. I am not even saying it's bad per say just not what anyone I know is doing so it's hard to find others that relate to me and what I am doing.

not sure how old you are Melissa - 21-22 probably - some of the people you know in a few years will be making the same time and work sacrifices you are now with their own careers and businesses - the ones who don't are regular joes - which for some people is fine and they are happy. money alone definitely doesn't buy happiness.

I have been the same way for years. Just put on some nice glasses, put your hair up, and put on a mans dress shirt., and get some photos of you being a nerd. Make more sales.

Oh I agree with you 100% I would not have this if it wasn't for that! I mean I had always done well at everything I tried but without my looks I would still be working as an Annuity Coordinator making $40k a year. I know I am very blessed! Melissa

you may very well single-handedly change the perceptions & negative stereotypes people have of computer nerds.

that happened to me a couple years ago. I missed hanging out with my friends and going out. I bought a blackberry thinking that i would be able to go hiking .... or whatever.

But now I'm that annoying guy sitting at a table full of people txt messaging people in the biz or checking in on stuff ... at the club.

:edit: SHIT. It's midnight on a friday night and I'm posting on GFY. okay fuck you guys. tonight is different. I'm prepping the house for New Years
