money doesnt turn me on a bit, but the bad-ass factor of that character really turns me on! his character is slick, smart, tough, confident, funny (at times), and can say alot with his eyes without ever speaking a fuckin word!

HAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWT! :thumbsup

Don't go looking for the real life Tony Soprano now. Better off living in dreamland on TV :)

I never understood the girls who go for thugs. I'll also never understand why women will go for a guy that could care less about them.

i wouldnt wanna be with someone like Tony Soprano, but i love watchin him on tv. i'd never want a husband that kills people and cheats on me all the time. i love the character thta is on tv but would stay far away from in real life. :2 cents:

It's his alpha-male qualities. It's actually VERY common.

You do know that he is nothing like his tv personality in real life

He can be seen riding a little Vespa scooter around NYC. It's pretty funny.

I like how they foreshadowed the impending conflict between Tony and his mother with the opening shot of him looking at the nude female statue in his psychiatrist's waiting room. The Sopranos is a very well-written show that doesn't just rely on the novelty of 'gangsters have real families too' angle but on personality interplay and mixing in funny dialogue. Example: Junior's recollection of the days he used to collect devotional saint and religious cards and his comparison to baseball cards. "Thousands for Honus Wagner. Jack shit for Jesus." While the dialogue is funny it also has deeper subtexts between gangsters' apparent piety and their more 'base' economic instincts and the conflict between these two. Interwoven with Italian-American culture, as well.

The Sopranos is one of those TV shows that are worth seeing over and over again. So good I bought the 5 season DVD box set.

A lot of people don't like the show nearly as much as they used to. The first three seasons started out as dark comedies. The fourth and fifth season moved more toward melodrama with a lot more feeling and more complicated relationships.

Brilliant show and I've always loved it.
