I need business cards made for Vegas.
 

I need two business cards printed. From each 250 pieces. Anyone who can make them and actually is coming Vegas so I'll can pick them up. I got all files ready to go.

Whoever you decide to use being that it's just a few days before the show, don't come back here bitching up a storm if mistakes happen, you don't get your cards on time etc. etc.

Even last minute... Rob from AcidFlyers was able to deliver, I got him to do cards for me before Vegas a few years ago and he was going to deliver them to the hotel in vegas if I was already there. Turns out that Rob got it done fast enough that he could deliver to my place in Florida and we didn't need to go that route.

Rob is one of the few I know that will go the extra mile to provide fantastic service and if there is a problem, make good on it by giving more cards or faster shipping for nothing.

Be careful with Acidflyers....we ordered on December 16th and today they told us they can't even get them shipped till the middle of next week.

I agree Rob is good, but I can imagine even he hates to get such last minute orders knowing that the "drama" potential goes up as the show gets closer.

See, this is exactly what I'm talking about.

The show is on or around the same date every year, and people know they will need business cards...but yet decide to wait until the middle of the busiest shipping month of the year not to mention the fact that it's the holidays to order them and then bitch when they can't work miracles.

Just wanted to clarify our situation....we ordered on the 16th and their site says they ship within 48 hours. They, as of today, have not even submitted it for printing. I don't think this is a reflection of the holidays, only that they have people out sick, on vacation and just can't deliver. I don't think they are a bad company, just need some disclosures about timing.

Like I said Last resort is Kinkos. they can do an amazing job, or they can royally fuck them up like they did to us one year.

Truer words have never been spoken. It really is amazing that people wait until the week of the show and then freak out about business cards or flyers. Those are probably two of the most important things at a show since you're going there to market your company or yourself. I still can't understand why it's the last thing everyone thinks of. They can book their hotel rooms in September but they forget about their marketing materials.

It really does baffle me and I'll continue to try and make miracles happen. Coming soon, JesusPrint.com. For when you need a miracle. :winkwink:

Get it done locally ... it'd be dumb to rely on ups at this time of the year.

Heading to Kinkos now.....they say they print test proofs so hopefully it will work out. Anybody used this other place??

Hey Avalance, you should have contacted me. I babysit almost every job if I know it is for a GFYer. For instance, Mike Vega and Pete ordered business cards almost a month ago and I knew that they needed them for the show so I burnt $80 to send them UPS Nextday. Same thing with Joe Spikes and Mike Hawk...I bit the bullet and spent the money to overnight them so they would have them in time for the show.

I try to get everyone to contact me before they order if they are coming from GFY (also because I give better prices to GFYers). Once I know that it's a job that needs to be done by a certain time I baby sit it until it's shipped. I have spent more money in upgrading shipping than I made on the actual job.

GFY is probably 3 - 5% of my total business so it's hard for me to watch for your jobs unless you contact me and let me know.

Rob, I heard you didn't have much to do with them anymore so didn't want to bother you. If you can do anything I talked to Tristan a few hours ago and canceled because he said he couldn't get them out til Tuesday which wouldn't work if shipped UPS.....they say they don't have a FedEx account # and I'd offer mine, but paying another $50 for their mistake wasn't too appealing.

I'm not at the office right now but I will call over there and find out what's going on. The first time I heard about this was when you ICQ'd me earlier and by then it was too late because UPS had already picked up the package. Once a package is in route they will not upgrade the shipping. I had to leave for a meeting so I didn't get a chance to look more into it.

I'll see what I can do.

Thanks for anything you can do. I'm not trying to be an asshole, but when the guy first looks at it on Dec 22 and says sorry people have been out sick and then he goes on vacation and doesn't clear the proof for print, it basically fucks us up to the last minute...anyways...thanks
