2 year old gets drunk; baby-sitter charged

Another amazing story. What the hell is wrong with some people? :helpme

Long Island, NY:

The toddler was taken to the hospital, where tests revealed he was legally intoxicated, with a blood-alcohol content of 0.094 percent, the sheriff?s office said. In New York, a driver is considered drunk with an alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater.

The baby sitter was a guy and he was passed out drunk.

OMG!! that was just sooo wrong... :(

Sarah_Jayne 12-29-2005 08:48 AM

I knew a couple that let their three year old walk around with a bottle of beer. Drunk toddlers are not the greatest of things. I couldn't watch it.

People are sick :(

Which is why I'd rather bring my kids everywhere than trust them with anyone *and yes,my son was at the hospital with us when I gave birth - but then again, so was the rest of the family heheh*

I don't blame the parents, they may be faraway from people they know & trust and had no choice but to leave the child with someone they knew.

For this reason, my kids have always come with me everywhere and on the few occasions that I have had no choice but to leave them it's been with a female adult who has had children & don't have drinking/drug/mental problems.

AsianDevil 12-29-2005 09:44 AM

Man, that's just plain fucked up.

adultchica 12-29-2005 09:51 AM

I have only had one babysitter for my children that I really trust who wasn't a relative. She was GREAT, but retired from watching kids. Now I really only trust my relatives or family members

It's so fucking wrong...

GlydeGirl 12-29-2005 11:16 AM

He was probably already drunk when the woman went into labour and asked him to watch her kids... it was likely a last-minute emergency situation that was FAR from ideal.
