Just fly to Cuba and then come over on a raft... seems easier then filling out paperwork.

150 a week isn't going to cut it really..
150x4 600.00 - 800.00 You are looking at a 1/1 by yourself or a 2/1 shared with a rommie for 800 |
If you need a room for rent try www.craigslist.com
You can find one there for sure. As far as living goes I would suggest New York, or San Francisco. They are the coolest cities in the USA but also the most expensive. So, if you want cool and affordable with possibly the most hot chicks running around and great weather I would suggest Miami. Yeah, definitely Miami. |
C'mon KMR.. Florida has lots of places with great sized apartments for about $600 USD/mo.

For starters, you don't just apply for a work visa and even making enquiries you have now alerted Immigration that you intend to work/live here so have probably ruined your chances of getting even a tourist visa to check it out for a few weeks months. If you have a degree and special skills or lots of money to invest and lots of money to spend on a lawyer, you might get a limited temporary work visa in several months/years. If you already have a tourist visa, you will have to answer the "have you ever applied to immigrate" question and may get turned back at the airport :Oh crap As for marrying a US citizen, that's marriage fraud and will get you deported for several years. Since you may not get a tourist visa now, you will have to arrange a marriage from AU and stay married here for 3 years, show proof you are living together etc etc etc. Why do you want to live in US anyhow and have you spent much time here before? :) |
