Nothing new except the dino's. I didn't cry. I knew what was going to happen. You will too.

I enjoyed Star Wars, E.T. , Jurassic Park and Saving Private Ryan more than this.

The bullets in the back looked like they hurt.

well its a remake so its understandable. nothing very spectacular about it although I admit I enjoyed the film.

nothing spectacular? This movie is the very definition of spectacular. The t-rex sequence wasn't mind-blowing? Or how about how they completely recreated 1930's New York. Or how about Kong himself??? You'd swear he was alive.

movies simply do not get any more spectacular than King Kong.

I'm gonna go see it tomorrow and I hope it's all it's hyped up to be.

above is a one minute clip taken from the t-rex sequence, that last about 10 minutes. i think this movie is spectacular, but we'll let the other GFY'ers judge for themselves.

Even Roger Ebert, who I find can be a stick in the mud, says, and I quote his review:

"This is one of the great modern epics." And he's right.

Well, now I have to go see it.. mind you, it's likely a movie that only could be really great if seen on the big screen.

Some effects wasnt that good.

that scene where he fought the dino's, was so loud that I think they used sounds to try to sell it when the effects do it just fine, making it over sold. Too much noise in that long scene.

I enjoyed the movie and was glad when it ended.

yeah but when everything is done with cgi, its less than impressive. i say this having not seen the movie tho, if i am wrong then it i might be impressed.

All the jungle scenes are simply breathtaking!

haha i agree, the beginning of the movie should have been cut down to about 20 minutes. They dragged the fuck out of that thing for over an hour before you even saw king kong! Other than that it was good.

Sounds like a future rental maybe...

no way this one has to be seen in the movie theater
