wtf canada? is everything our fucking fault? some of your politicians need to get a grip and accept responsibility for your own problems instead of always pointing the finger at us. fuck.

Well, it Does'nt , but thats an entirely New Thread :Graucho

Bansheelinks 12-28-2005 11:35 AM

John Thompson, a security analyst with the Toronto-based Mackenzie Institute, says the number of guns smuggled from the United States is a problem, but that Canada has a gang problem -- not a gun problem -- and that Canada should stop pointing the finger at the United States.

Ummmmmmmmm...........isn't there an election happening up there? Sounds like Martin is using us as a red herring. I would imagine the more American bashing he does, the more his poll #'s increase. He should get busy getting his party to quit stealing from his own people and create some more wealth up there to alleviate urban poverty, the real reason behind rampant gun violence. Its poverty.

heard it before but its a classic line. Thanks CD for the laugh. I also like the line, "Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one." Another oldie but a goodie.

ronaldo 12-28-2005 11:44 AM

"It's a sign that the lack of gun laws in the U.S. is allowing guns to flood across the border that are literally being used to kill people in the streets of Toronto,"

Jesus. Not ONE Canadian citizen that I know of believes for ONE second that the Canadian Gun Registry took ANY weapons used for crime off the streets.

Do politicians really think that if they say it enough times, regular citizens will start to believe it? Bloody idiots.

cool1 12-28-2005 11:46 AM

ITs no ones fault but the Canadian courts.
If they would stop letting these punks off and gave them some real prison time with some real hard labour, there would be less crooks

SmokeyTheBear 12-28-2005 11:47 AM

the cliff notes:

Most guns used in crimes are not legal and from usa.

the guy said "PART" of the problem was american guns.

the other part is canadians buying them ...

i highly doubt the average canadian would primarily blame the usa so cnn is just wrong thats all.

if they mean canada "partially" blames usa then yes , but you would be a complete imbecile if you didnt realise that.

WhoGivesaShit 12-28-2005 11:51 AM

why don't you tighten your border security so the guns don't go into Canada?

Absolutely....

All canadians have the exact same opinion as this guy has...We all think exactly the same!

pornguy 12-28-2005 12:03 PM

Maybe Canada should stop all of the visitors from comming to Canada. And if they think that the US is the reason for their problems. then Stop trading with us companies, and stop allowing Americans in.

then when nothing changes, they will see how stupid they are.

Pretty much, thanks for confirming my suspicions... :)

Rinaldo 12-28-2005 12:23 PM

I feel canada will be losing even more support from our country

baddog 12-28-2005 12:57 PM

I guess they are onto us. All the programs where the cops buy illegal guns, or trade guns for toys/books/whatever, we export them to Canada.

Guess we need to come up with another plan.

Luckily for us, because you folks in the USA are so concerned about terrorists using the back door from Canada, YOU are beefing up border security. This is great -- you do all the work and pay all the bills, and we get some free side benefits! Thanks America... God Bless ya! LOL

romeoboi 12-28-2005 01:06 PM

I heard that a lot of the illegal guns coming into Canada, were the result of the drug trade.... BC bud gets shipped to the States and the organizations running it in Canada get paid in fire arms

more guns in the population = more gun violence

LadyMischief 12-28-2005 01:08 PM

From what I'm aware of, the primary issue Canada has is that the guns are based out of the US, and they want the US to toughen up their border patrols or something of the like.

Yeah, just like you live off our military spending and spend next to nothing on your own. Must be nice.

When coming from the US into Canada, it's Canada's border patrol that they have to go through. Its us that has to beef up our border patrol.

I fail to see how Canada lives off of the US military budget ... Not meaning to direct this at you, but all of the money spent in Iraq would have been better spent in education and rallying support of the world to unite and take on world threats together.

Matt

cmos 12-28-2005 07:09 PM

Ofcourse its the U.S fault.

I agree with the above. However, Canada has spent next to nada to defend itself, especially during Cold War times. You have relied on us to be your protector, whether you want to admit it or not.
