ICQ Question.. alerts? Is this possible?

Oftentimes I work with clients who come online weekly, if that. Is there an option like there is in AIM to popup a window or play a sound when that user signs on?

Any ideas?

Try right clicking on the username. I use Trillian, but it has a 'set notifications' feature when you right click on the user. I have my odd ones set to display a message when that user signs on and leaves.

Not a bad idea, maybe I ought to install Trillian.. any idea if it supports Skype as well as ICQ/AIM/MSN/Yahoo/etc. etc. ?

I am not sure why anyone would use the newer versions, IMHO 2002 +2003 were the best ones made. However, nowadays I only use Gaim :)
