Laptop Vent Heat - Big Case of DUHS!!!
 

If you'll take a close look at the bottom of your laptop, you'll see a circular "VENT" hole. This is where the CPU fan blows the hot CPU air out of the machine.

Now, you probably have your laptop resting on your leg or some other air-tight application which does not allow the hot air to excape from your laptop.

Next year, when you get to grade school, this will all make perfedt sense to you.

Nice attempt at sarcasm, too bad it doesn't make sense. Each laptop is different and not all of them blow heat out the bottom. Maybe when you graduate kindergarten it will make sense to you. Each laptop & manufacturer is different than the others. Mine blows heat out the sides.

And I'll bet donuts to beer that you've got it pressed right up against your belly where the air inlets are located, too, huh? Air flow does wonders, if unrestructed. Every thought to take a can of air and blow the fucker out? Maybe all those pizza crumbs have accumulated are are storing heat. Maybe my Ph.D has expired and I need to go back to school. You are some kind of idiot. Did I say I had it pressed up to my belly or on my legs? Was that even the question? My question in MY thread, which you cannot even reply to properly, was what people used to keep them cool. Now, if you really must know, I keep my laptop propped up on my lap with anything I can find. My question was geared more towards when its sitting on my desk. I know there are many devices to prop up the laptops to keep the laptop cool, and there are ones with fans. I was curious which ones people liked and had success with. So your comments regarding my question are unwaranted. Enjoy your retirement.
