cell phones aren't very expensive compared to the alternatives, they're taking off in africa as well

1-The poorer rural parts that where set to eventually get a landline skipped that part alltogether.

2-The China we learned of with everybody riding a bicycle to work every morning is a gone era. There is lots of money in China. A lot more than anyone here can imagine and they are not to be underestimated.

The stock UTSI controls something like 80% of the China cell phone market. Its an 8 buck stock that took a big hit in 05, but I think its a huge bargain and will yield incredible long term value as that market booms.

At the same time, over 50% of the world's population has never even made a regular phone call. Crazy to think about.

India is also worth looking at, the mobile technology is leap frogging Europe (easy to sell content on their phones) and its a big a market as the US.
