OK so we have a video problem Houston

Just got a brand new 20.1" Dell Widescreen, have a 19" Acer flatscreen too. These two were in thought going to be connected to my laptop, via vga and s-video. They're the only two video inputs on the machine. Basically, I tried s-vid for the 20" and jesus christ as expected, what shit quality. Worse than TV. I want to use both of these at the same time, so I'm thinking put the 19" on a VGA -> s-video converted to the laptop and the 20" on the VGA port. Question is, how shitty is that quality going to be considering the input is still through the s-vid port on the laptop? Any suggestions here? Or perhaps some adapter to hook up both the 20" and 19" to the single VGA port on the laptop? Any input appreciated.

Thanks!

JM

s video is only 520 lines of resolution ( i think), it would probably look better on a crt or tv screen

but not anything near as good as vga

BV,

Yeah tell me about it. So basically, you don't think VGA -> s-vid would improve quality at all eh? I'm thinking not, but I'm hopeful in thinking someone else says different with more knowledge in the area.
