New toys! (pics)
Now - anyone know how to use bluetooth? Took me forever to add this stuff to my wireless network.

I was looking for something like that...and I have sprint sweeeet!
How do you like it? |

That said.. The wireless networking is limited to WPA-PSK with TKIP and WEP. If your network uses AES you're screwed until an update comes out. The speaker phone is useless - no volume. Sound through the phone itself is good. Sound through heaphones is really good. The camera (1.3 mp) is anemic. Terrible indoor shots, though outdoor are pretty good. Of course, snapshots are snapshots, so who really cares. Expensive. Good stuff: Speed on Sprint's EVDO network is great! I've had no coverage problems or drops. Only $25 on top of your voice package gets you all the text messages, online time, data transfer, etc, including pics. Battery life is ok, depending on what you are doing. It uses a mini-usb cable for sync and file transfer, and it will charge through it - that's really awesome. I can charge it off the laptop if needed. The keyboard rocks. Easy to use even with clumsy thumbs like mine! |
does skype work on it?
|
Very nice gadget man
|
thats pretty cool, i want something like that but i think i'll wait till they are more advanced.
|
very nice. How do you like the phone?
|
Nice toys

I have the same one. Terminal Services kicks ass. I really like the phone. Only beef is with the screen in sunlight.

I can't figure out how to use terminal services. Connecting is no problem, but the screen doesn't resize small enough to use anything on the remote PC. I have the 'reduce screen size' thingy checked.. any ideas? |
well, also the fact that you cannot close progams without manually ending it in memory

Some proram windows may not let you view the whole thing, but I manage what I need to just fine. |
fuck that one look fucking sweet
|
I got mine about a month ago. Like parts of it, don't like other parts. Watch out for the small amount of humming coming out of the front speaker. I'm on my second phone because of the noise. And I am starting to get it again.
Coverage is decent though, it's just really to big and expensive to carry around everywhere I go (fishing). I think I'm going to get a second phone next. |
Looks like using the scroll bars will be a pain in the ass.
|
cool stuff man

That rocks dude! How much is that?
|
Cool man! Too bad, nobody thought of that as a christmas gift for me.. :(
|
Sweet! How much does something like that cost?
|
wow, that's a very very cool gadget you have this christmas.
|
my uncle had that this christmas.
i'd take a sidekick II over it any day what do you REALLY have to do in CE? if you want a straight up PDA u can get a dell axim and use it in conjunction with your bluetooth phone for internet. i just got a sprint MM8300, very happy with its capabilities (pic, video, ready-link, and speakerphone is really nice) |
nothing like all in one
and the keyboard is very handy and only smartphones have this option |
I like the Dell better
|
wow! cool stuff...very nice! :thumbsup
