it takes photos too yes but I wouldn't use it for that. Just use a normal cam for pics and this one for vids :)

If you wanna have a very good cam for vids AND pics, you should go for the JVC Everio MC500

This one takes 5 MP pics, I've seen it in the stores and it's really really small...fits on your hand. The only problem is that this one doesn't have the HD but a 4 GB microdrive :(

I have only 3 Ipod's and 2 PSPs left and a LOT of happy friends :winkwink:
