Cologne/Pefume as a gift

Nothing makes me fucking madder. There isn't a more impersonal gift that you can give someone. It requires no fucking thought at all.

thanks for fucking nothing. :321GFY

I don't mind it at all, if it is my brand of perfume.

It not, then I agree with the no thought statement.

SleazyDream 12-25-2005 01:45 AM

idiot
......

I love perfume, i wouldn't mind getting some Britney Spears "Fantasy" or some Victoria's Secret "Dream Angels"... I dont care if it's impersonal, I'll take anything I can get.

Actually I LOVE perfume, body spray stuff...

I was thinking of buying Fantasy for myself, it smells really good even tho its from Britney Spears...

No offense, but why do you think that?

Unless you're getting a cheap $20 perfume, I consider it to be very personal. When I give perfume to someone, it reflects both myself and my feelings towards the other person.

Shit, I completely disagree with you, it's one of the most personal things you can get if you put any thought into it, instead of grabbing the nearest on-sale giftset.

what a useless thread.

doesn't matter what the price of the perfume is, some people would kill for a bottle of $17.95 Shania Twain's perfume from wal-mart.

Don't mean to sound like a prick, but it really seems as though some people on this board have lost their touch with reality...not everyone is a bling bling pornograph slinging webmaster.

There are people out there who buy all of their christmas gifts from dollar stores, a lot more than you'd realize.

Mr. GFY, you are here too. LMFAOROF. Kid, you need a little seasoning.

escorpio 12-25-2005 02:54 AM

I used to be in fragrance and if it wasn't for Xmas the industry wouldn't exist. I made almost half my annual income from Xmas orders.

Monique Niccole 12-25-2005 03:25 AM

I love perfume as a gift. I don't have just one "signature scent", so I like it when people surprise me with something new or something that I'm running out of.

Marshal 12-25-2005 05:18 AM

wtf is going on here? :D lol!
merry x-mass! :)

Theo 12-25-2005 05:22 AM

this is a good gift if you ask me.

Surferdamian2000 12-25-2005 06:48 AM

i came here hoping this guy would talk about buying someone or complimenting a cologne.. if the idiot wants to smell like monkeys balls so be it..

Vitasoy 12-25-2005 09:03 AM

If it's the kind I use, I don't mind it at all :)

PrintAdult 12-25-2005 09:31 AM

I am glad to get anything.

Hey man, I do see how my post could have come off as that. I'm very far from a being a bling bling pornograph slinging webmaster myself. I just appreciate a good perfume, and happened to give some as a gift this year.
It's really not about the price, but about the scent. From my experience, higher end perfumes smell better.

I already mentioned that I gave some perfume as a gift this year. I spent quite a lot of time looking for it, and for me the gift is far from impersonal. It's a shame some people think otherwise.

Kard63 12-25-2005 09:47 AM

I like cologne as a gift and I like a variety of it.

JoeMeca 12-25-2005 09:53 AM

if i like the cologne then its a good gift i got some this year ;)

Au contraire, my dear.

Picking perfume or cologne requires much thought.

Having said that, unless you know the person, and I mean know.....choosing perfume or cologne can be rather difficult.
