What's the best tea you've drank?
I'm mainly a white tea drinker but today I had a black currant tea and I must say it's the best tea I had in years.

Recently I've been addicted to Yerba Mate... Warning: You will hate this drink the first time...then you can't go a day without it...
"Yerba Mate (pronounced "yerba mahtay") is a medicinal and cultural drink of ancient origins. Introduced to the world by the Guarani Indians of South America, Mate contains ingredients that help keep its drinkers healthy and energetic." |

I do still have some....Yorkshire Gold....Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Gold.... its stuff you steep up and douche it with a dallop of milk....I never even though it would be good at all with the weird additive until i got this tea and read the box.....needless to say its good....I got addicted to it for a lil while..... http://www.perennialtearoom.com/Prod...3256140720.jpg Check it out... |
from a company called teavana...the flavor "mate vana"
www.teavana.com Deliciously smooth blend of toasted Yerba Mate, almond bits, crushed cocoa beans, cactus blossoms, sunflower and cornflower petals. This herbal tea contains matteine, which is a natural stimulant similar to caffeine although without the jitteriness or addictive tendencies. |

Wow...did not realize there was this many teas in the world.
I like good old fashioned, down home southern Iced Sweet Tea (hence my screen name)....and anyone that says that you can add sugar to a glass of iced tea and it be sweet it sadly mistaken. You can only add the sugar while the tea is still boiling and before you add the water. You must add PLENTY of sugar.....just keep pouring it until you think you have poured too much and you should be almost there. :) My Mother's Tea was so sweet we always called it CAVI-TEA :) --T |

Snapple Very Cherry Tea.
I couldn't find it this past summer, so I'm not sure it's something they're making anymore. |
Quote:
Sorry....I can see where that made no sense ;) When you make Southern Sweet Tea you boil the tea bags in about a quart of water...add Sugar....then pour that into a gallon pitcher of water and stir. Does that make more sense? --T |

My ex use to make something similar but with cheap family pack tea bags and had to add a pinch of backing soda to remove the bitterness from them teas. |

Actually, Alex, my mother adds just a pinch of baking soda to hers, as well. Sounds like your ex may have been a red neck down deep inside :winkwink: --T |

Sorry I cant help but everytime i see your name i feel obliged to make a smart-ass remark about strippers. It just got ingrained in my brain what you said about eating lunch at the strip club and other stuff you said as well, i just really can't help it, everytime i see you here i feel like i have to say something...
