If you don't believe in God/Jesus, why celebrate Xmas?

I do it for the free gifts. How about yourself? :glugglug

Its pronounced X-mas. You are using an archaic form.

Happy B-Day Jesus.

it's not about jesus any more, really if you think about it unless you are a holy roller,
nobody talks about the jesus part of it anymore? These people may believe in god but are not holy rollers.I think it's evolved into more of a different version now.If anything now it's about the gifts and a chance to get together with family and friends instead of dealing with all the everyday Bullshit! So,god or no god,i say break out the mistletoe and beer!(oh ya and the gifts too!)

Few people realize that the origins of a form of Christmas was pagan & celebrated in Europe long before anyone there had heard of Jesus Christ.

If this is true . . . why not celebrate Kwanza, Ramadan, Hanukkah, etc. too? Just party year round and celebrate every Holiday!!! No reason to miss any one of the times for celebration, gift giving and getting together with the family and your friends no matter when or where! Stop dealing with all the everyday Bullshit and celebrate like only a godless partier would!

The entity, the concept known as Christmas, had transcended the spiritual connotation and has become a time of year for everyone from every denomination (including non-believers) to celebrate the spirit of giving, of goodwill toward their fellow man, of appreciating the good in the world.

In other words, without even realizing it, the non-believers are partaking in and celebrating precepts that the bible has espoused for over two thousand years. :D

Give
Care
Help your fellow man
Be kind to others

All that and more is what Christmas is about. One can in fact celebrate the holiday and still not believe in God or Christ, but you're still underlining the precepts the entire holiday was based upon.

Me, I just hope everone has a good Christmas, and greater prosperity in the new year. Yes, even those who disagree with me. :D
