Colts vs Seahawks tomorrow.

Am i reading this right?
The Colts are a +9½ UNDERDOG?

Sure they lost to the Chargers, but you will they let Seattle win the game as well so that they can give the SeaHawks a false sense of security? Because if any two teams are going to the superbowl it is these two.

Anyone care to shed some light. I am a Seahawk fan, but i am sure the Colts will win this game, or at least cover.

davethetruth 12-23-2005 04:36 PM

Colts won't play their starters very much now that they've missed the perfect record.

Furious_Male 12-23-2005 04:37 PM

A lot of Indi starters will be sitting out or will get limited play.

sextoyking 12-23-2005 04:37 PM

I don't know about a 9 point spread, but I think my Hawks will win.

Home Field, could be rainy, coaches son just died, also - Colts don't need the win.,.

Furious_Male 12-23-2005 04:37 PM

davethetruth beat me to it.

Not to mention the HC is out of town dealing with the loss of his son.

Alex 12-23-2005 04:39 PM

Yea, but they wont get blown away. I mean +9.5. They may not need the win, but they dont want Seattle to stomp them out.

Seattle needs the win bad tho. If they don't get it the season is over so I think it's close. I've seen +8 which is more realistic imo.

Same applies to Seattle.

They have clenched top playoff spot for the NFC.

If they could beat the Colts they will wait till the superbowl to do it.

WTF are you talking about.

Seattle needs the win??

1. Seattle Seahawks (12-2) ? Won NFC West. Clinched first-round bye. Can clinch home-field advantage with 1) a win or tie or 2) Chicago loss or tie. Would play host to the lowest-seeded, wild-card round winner in the divisional playoffs. Next: vs. Indianapolis (13-1).

Sosa 12-23-2005 04:57 PM

marvin harrison isn't playing either...

axelcat 12-23-2005 04:59 PM

No manning no harrison and no win for the colts

Kevsh 12-23-2005 05:04 PM

Seattle is playing for home field throughout the playoffs, but that's not much of a motivator. Indy won't be playing any of their main starters, or at least they won't see much action.

As well, with Dungy's son dying the players have already said they don't even want to get on the plane of the trip ... their heart won't be in this in any way.

9.5 is steep but this should be a blowout. Indy may get a few late pts if Seattle is running away with it, but I'd say this will end up something like 31-20 for the Hawks.

NoHassleSteve 12-23-2005 05:12 PM

Looking at the teams in AFC West vs. NFC West....
Getting moved to the NFC is the best thing that ever happened to the Seahawks.

:2 cents:

webair 12-23-2005 05:15 PM

I think the colts are going to open up some WHOOOOOOOOOOPASSSSSSSS on seattle!

NO thats that thing.

Juding all these outside factors and that spread, this is a hard choice to make.

At +5 I would still bet the Colts.
They are going to win, you can bet the farm, the outhouse and the dog house on that.

Michael O 12-23-2005 05:24 PM

Be careful you don't overanalyzing things :winkwink:

Lot of things seem to disagree with you.

Would you bet the Cotls staright up if you think they will win? Cause ill take that bet with you :winkwink:
Seattle does have many advantages but -9.5?

Oh well i just placed two units on Seattle -6.5 (bought three points) I think one touchdown is safe.

Yep, Just what you said dude... Seattle needs the win to clinch Home feild throughout the playoffs. The colts don't. they have already clinched. Plus dungy won't be coaching in this game and the colts will be resting Manning/Edge/Harrison.

This is the type of game real gamblers stay away from.

I know. This is a game has so many factors its not even funny. But this is also one of the, if not the, biggest non-playoff matches of the year.

I really wish both teams went all at it. Just so that we could see a preview of the superbowl.

Well Giants aren't playing so it can't be a superbowl preview :winkwink:

Vitasoy 12-23-2005 05:31 PM

I see the seahawks blowing the colts out of the water.. You will be seeing pretty much the preseason colts roster. Plus they don't need the win, and their hearts are not in it..

bdld 12-23-2005 06:09 PM

expect a big seahawks victory this week. manning & harrison are banged up.

Spunky 12-23-2005 06:25 PM

The Seahawks are on fire and going all the way!

DeadFidel 12-23-2005 06:49 PM

I wouldn't touch this game with your money. :2 cents:

EviLGuY 12-23-2005 07:37 PM

My money is on the Seahawks in this one. It's going to be a real snoozer though.

DavieVegas 12-23-2005 08:41 PM

hawks will win but who knows by how much

boneprone 12-23-2005 08:46 PM

Stay the fuck away from this game.
If you need action, bet on another game......

This game is a coin toss... Want better odds?? Go play Blackjack.....

Want a sure bet??

Take the Jags tomorrow morning.

Merry X-Mas.

The Giants won't even sniff the SuperBowl unless they have home field for all the playoff games - and they won't.

At Seattle, they're done.
At Chicago, Eli will throw 4 picks.
At Washington ... ok, i'll reserve comments until AFTER the weekend

:)

None except for Christamas day.

Even i WHO IS ADDICTED TO ACTION am probably staying away. Those should be some clsoe games, i might take the overs only. Because i can promise there will be high scoring and some overtimes.

Hue G. Pness 12-24-2005 12:18 AM

Seahawks are trying to secure homefield so they can rest their guys last game of the season. Indy is already locked for homefield and will basically play second team dudes. Plus Alexander is still working some records so he should be on fire against a mostly reserve Indy defense. After the debate of his near miss last year he is going to be all out. Seattle takes this one easy.
