Lambo and income question
How much do you think you would need to make a year before you would decide to buy a lambo?
|
I dont think I would ever buy a lambo, reguardless of how much money I make. I have never liked them.
|
why on earth would you buy.
Just lease. And if you are single I would say you need to make around 60-80k a year if you want it to be afforable. |
I think an intelligent person would not buy one until he owned his home outright and had money in the bank after the purchase, it depreciates, so it isn't an investment.
But I'd say if you were goign to finance one, 200k would be about right |
Quote:
80k a year to for you afford a lambo ? are you nuts ? you need to make 150k+ a year to even consider one. |
re read, I said lease.
yes a lease is affoardable if you make 60-80k and you are SINGLE |
Quote:
well i can tell you approx $10000 a year insurance to begin with, and lease payment would be atlist $2500 a month |
Based on maintenance, insurance and you'd have to have at least one other vehicle for a daily driver I'd say at least 200k gross annually.

THen insurance must be a shitload as well. I'd think 80 k would get you a lambo and an efficiency apartment, Do you really need to look that cool? when you bring the bitch to your house she'll walk out on you anyways. |
10k a year on insurance?
your high |
60k - 80k :1orglaugh
|
$5mil after taxes
|
I'd say 150k a year to consider buying one outright
all depends on whether your married, how you live, housing etc |
Quote:
you dont think someone who is single can affoard a $1500 month lease note? I guess it depends on where you live as well. In Texas I can buy a 4k sqft. home for 300k |
The first 1500 mile service(oil change) on the Lambo was $840.
Maintenance cost on any exotic is expensive.Tires last around 8k miles and a set of 4 will set you back around $2000 |
Quote:
Are you on crack? Add another digit to that figure and MAYBE you can afford a Lambo lease. Heck, I am pretty sure that even my dog sitter makes at least 80k. |
Quote:
And sure, if that would be a valid lease price someone could cover $1500/mo for a lease at that income level. And live in a shitty house/apartment or with their parents. 60k - 80k/year does not buy one a Lamborghini |
Quote:
Are you an idiot? go check lease prices on low end lambo you asswipe. You fuckers never took a math class I swear |
I see you guys saying 60-80K ...if that was the case i would have had one when i was 20 ... even when i was making $150k a year i wouldn't spend that ... if you are single and making $150k you should be investing ... in my opinion you need some fuck you money to buy a lambo ..it's not an every day car .. and you need you be able to pay for it and still have other cars to drive ... (I'm in NY ... maybe in Cali or FL it can be an everyday car not sure) I can say i do a lot better then $150k a year but with investments and wife 2 kids i wouldn't buy one ... I'd have to be bringing in a steady $400-500k with a good chuck in the bank... sure you can afford it before that but why? invest ... you can still have very nice cars that get lots of use for a lot less :2 cents:

250 minimum if you own a house
100k if you live in moms basement. Duke |

So what do girls think about the fact you still live with your mother? 80K and lease a lambo?!!!!!!! Have a nice life! LOL |
ok noob lets do the math.
so lets say you make 80k a year, thats about $6500 a month. lets say 2k for a low end lambo a month for lease you have $4500 left. Lets say 1500 for rent that leaves $3000 lets say 500 a month groceries that leaves $2500 for bills and whatever the fuck you want to spend it on. Would I want to do that...fuck no but it is affordable you jackass |
|
Quote:
Oh, and how you going to afford the upkeep on that car? |
Quote:
anyone that uses a lambo for a daily driver is an idiot. the point of the thread is that he was asking how much to make it affoardable. If you wanted it bad enough you can squeeze from one end or the other to make it happen. |

your insurance quote is high.
I dont know the exact price but I know a 360 modena here is around $400 a month |

It's not up to the person, it's up to the lender/leasor (bank). Even if you have excellent credit, the bank will still take into consideration a number of other things. They will want to see signs of stability: marriage, owning/buying your home (not renting), job stability, etc. They will also analyze your income-to-debt ratio; and 80K/yr before expenses won't cut it. The leases you see advertised @ $1500-$2000/mo require a fairly significant deposit. Also, if you lease, you will have ZERO equity in the vehicle. Quote:
Depends, what part of Texas? In Austin, that won't buy you 3k sqft. :2 cents: |

Bella Vista 2611 Salerno Place Cedar Park, TX 78613 That's in BFE (north of Austin). Take a look @ 78703, 78746, 78734, etc... |
BFE= about 5 miles
yes im sure building your house in downtown austin would cost a little more ;) |
6 figures easily..high insurance and regular maintenance adds up
|
I exchanged a few emails with DH and now got a nice leased one.

Even if you are over 25 yo and have a good driving record and experience . :disgust |
id say 200-300k a year, and you better own at least 2 houses or land before you buy a lambo

Driving a Lambo and paying 1500 for rent. $1500 for rent *might* get you a decent 250-500 sq.ft STUDIO in a nice part of town. |

here they are called 30 grand millionairs |
A young person owning a Lambo? I pay $400 a month in car insurance for a 1999 expedition and a 2004 chevy z71. And that is with no wrecks or tickets.

$2500 is no where near enough to live buy. Living here you would average 1500-2500 miles a month. At an average of 10 miles per gallon you are going to have to buy 200 gallons a month. 200 @ $3 per gallon is 600. Now you have $1900 left. Insurance on a car like that, ESPECIALLY leased will run you at least 10k a year. I always believe that if you lease a car, you have to be able to make what it costs per year to afford it. Its a nice rule of thumb. Better question, who LEASES a Lambo. In the three year lease, you will spend more than the actually value of the car, and end up with nothing. |
