I thought real punk died in 1979.

Actually the underground scene in the 1980's was great, the death of punk was from the eye of mainstream media and radio. There were a good amount of acts that put out their own albums, toured in beat up vans, and played for a die-hard community of kids. The lack of exposure from radio and MTV is part of what made the scene so great.

Fucking amazing that someone else here knows about Dan Destructo and No Fraud, Last time i seen the play was back in 97 with Gardee Loo.

Cool deal! I dug up the videos for the show that was last Saturday night at the Orpheum. No Clubs 20th anniversary show, Belching Penguin played, who haven't played since their 10th anniversary, and before that it was like 5 years. The show was awesome.
Since I was putting the vids into my computer, I figured I might as well start uploading them to Google for the world to see.
