Not when you're rich budy ;) You've got too much money ... the lawyers can't make this last years either.

prenup only works when you have something before you start. I had nothing when i got married.

even with a prenup, everything you make when together is on the table come divorse. It's only what you make before the union that can be excluded.

it's not that hard of a concept, stop preaching about prenups now that kanye west made a song about it..

when you are in love enough that you get married, the last thing on your mind that you think is possible is that you will have a bitter divorce... obviously it is a good thing to get a prenup, but did you really need to ask why he didn't? isn't it obvious?

here the thing - if i was to get married again would I ask for a prenup? NO - but i probally would back out and think she didn't really love me for me if SHE didn't ask me to put one in place.

if i married a woman with more money than me I would DEMAND a prenup if we were to get married.

next time around I expect to be with someone who can step up to the plate

Its not obvious to me, since the divorse rate in this country is 50%+ (50% chance your marriage will fail), i would be thinking about prenup a lot if i ever get married. :winkwink:

and the person who gets ___________ always thought that getting __________ could never happen to them.. that it would happen to someone else, but not to them

human nature

__________ = fill in the blank with any given negative situation

xlogger 12-22-2005 02:17 AM

Its like insurance - is driving a car with insurance or without better?

Would you rather fight with your spouse for 3 days over a prenup or fight with your ex-wife for 3 years over a divorce?

xlogger 12-22-2005 02:18 AM

:error stupid double posts

I'd love to hear that conversation you have with your fiance when you bring up the topic of a prenup. So lets say your wife to be has a lot more wealth than you do going into the marriage, you still going to push for a prenup?

quiet 12-22-2005 02:21 AM

i wouldn't consider moving in with someone again, without a prenup. period.

Let's just say a prenup isn't the most romantic thing just before marriage. If you get engaged, that'S most likely because you want to live your life with the other person.

i think a prenup is VERY ROMANTIC - assuming the poorer partner brings it up and demands it. not the richer one.

that proves to the one with more money the marriage is for love and the right reasons.

hentaivip 12-22-2005 03:44 AM

Now I'm single

Adultnet 12-22-2005 06:35 AM

yes but it rarely happens that way. prenup is realistic but its like you're planning to break up before you even get married.

ShaneRyale 12-22-2005 07:28 AM

Congrats Sleazy! Hunting season opens for you again this year!!

slapass 12-22-2005 07:28 AM

I recently did a prenup and it sucks. You get to do a mini divorce before you are married. Simple advice if you ever have to do one, be really generous. Without one you get fucking hammered so even having a slanted one is 1000 times better.

Ramster 12-22-2005 07:55 AM

Congrats on being single again. Divorce is not fun so I'm sure you're glad it's over.

Ace-wtf 12-22-2005 07:59 AM

nothing like freedom

Yes well, that's only because you have so much to lose... what if Bill Gates' wife got a divorce and then wanted you after? :winkwink:

Wow, that is really a good way to describe it. Mini divorce.

Maybe part of the reason the divorce rate is so high is because people think they can just leave with it gets difficult.

Sarah_Jayne 12-22-2005 09:48 AM

Hate it when I make a typo and the load time of the board is so slow that the 3 minute limit is up by the time it sends the edit.

Penthouse Tony 12-22-2005 09:52 AM

congrats sleazy! I know you've been dealing with this for a long time.

CherryLipsRosa 12-22-2005 09:57 AM

Pipecrew 12-22-2005 04:38 PM

as usaul, people think a prenup saves your ass.

If you are making 100 million a year and get married and get a prenup, then after you are married you start making 150 million a year, guess what? the prenup only protects what you had and what were making on average. She is getting 50% of that 50 million/year

Fresh 12-22-2005 04:41 PM

congrats sleazy

StuartD 12-22-2005 04:42 PM

Congrats Sleazy... that's awesome that it's all finally over and done with :thumbsup

Exactly, and share everything you have with that person as well.
