not actually run by paypal...I remember a post about someone developing a paypal type system for the adult industry...any news on this? information? and dont say epass cause it sucks

I always clear it right away, anything above 1k. I did have it closed, was solved within 3 weeks.

Yeah we are just putting some finishing touches on the design. Hopefully within the next week it should be ready. Cutting it close with the holidays so we may wait till after the 1st. After all the hardwork that went into it, it will be nice to finally launch it.

Epass is kinda that ... but if anybody start some good competition, they will loose, because their support sucks and they can't get their shit straight.

Do you realize how ridiculous that is? Try having your bank account closed for three weeks. For some people, ePass = bank account. Knock on wood, I haven't had many problems with ePass, but the second something better hits the market I won't be looking back. The way I see it ePassporte is nothing but a ticking bomb and sooner or later it'll go boom on me. I honestly don't wanna stick around until it does.

I still find it interesting when people compare epass to paypal - ignoring the lack of adult in paypal they are a totally different thing. PP has big problems with account closure and customer service but does have a LOT of functionality. Epass is only really any use for B2B transactions.

For all the downtimes, sometimes poor support and lack of ability to transfer to a Canadian bank account, it's still a great option. I am very happy with it overall.

Oh, if you are getting payments from many sponsors, it saves a few trips to the bank and you get paid a lot faster than snail mail :)

Paypay was terminated by one of the card associations for excessive chargebacks and then they sold to ebay a few weeks later and Wells Fargo took on the risk and processing and gave a guarantee to V/MC on the chargebacks.

Wells has a 10% ownership in ebay and they sent in a team of underwriters from Wells Fargo and basically turned Paypal underwriting to mirror their Bank Program which is conservative by most accounts and that's when the adult, escorts, dating sites and the rest all got their letters saying good bye !
