I wasn't referring to the fight. I am very familiar with the Gracie brothers and yes, they kick mucho ass. The "weak video" comment is about the actual footage. Barely any fighting other than the cameraman fighting to get a good angle. By then, the fight is locked up and you barely see a couple visible blows.

I agree, that's why I got annoyed by the vid.

He fought for Pride quite a bit when Pride was just starting out and went undefeated. As far as ruining his 'god like aura', what do you want him to do? He fought the best around until he got old. Should he come back and fight Crocop at 50 years old?

Yeah from what I remember, Rickson was supposed to be the one fighting in UFC instead of Royce. Even Royce was stated saying that Rickson was 10x better then him. Any background story on what happened there? You'd figure they would use the elements around them like some good old fasion sand in the eyes :)

Most fights do not look like boxing matches, even when martial artists meet up out of competition you can hang up all that beautiful back and forth, it is a flurry of a few strikes and someone takes enough damage to quit or they are not able to fight anymore. Grappling is a good art to know but like any other martial art it has its holes and is not complete.

I would have liked for him to shoot when the guy was standing on one foot half balanced taking his shoes off or when he was taking his shirt off. Or at least blinding the guy with a hand full of sand, THAT is street fighting, using the environment and every aspect of your strength and experience against another fighter's lack of experience or loss of emotional control.
