Revshare programs, are they supposed to deduct processing fees from you?

Say a Revshare program pays $100 per signup
You get 65%

So, you make $65, right?

What about processing fees? Should it be deducted from your $65 or should the Affiliate Program pay for it?

Bastone 12-21-2005 12:54 PM

No, processing fees are charged 50/50, meaning half of the charges payed by the affiliate and the half by the Affiliate Program! It's like that for us and all affiliate programs out there!

sfera 12-21-2005 12:56 PM

fees kick your ass, bunch of shit how much they cost

PSD 12-21-2005 12:57 PM

It's up to how the program owner wants to set it up. Check their terms of service as it may be spelled out there or just contact them.

WiredGuy 12-21-2005 12:59 PM

Depends if the 65% is of net or gross. Its up to the affiliate program to decide. It should either be absorbed or split at the same percentage.

Lightspeedcash pays 60% to the affiliate, no fees are deducted. Its like 72% with fees. Check the fine print, some sponsors deduct as much as 15% from your payout!

I think charging for fees is kinda shady. It's great for marketing, but the fees deductions clause is usually hard to find on these sites.

bingo, its good to brag with high numbers, but a bit funny when you sign-up for a 60% program but get 45% in real...

NextDoorCash doesnt deduct the fees, of course, you get what you see :)

Most programs split the fee with the affiliate, not make the affiliate pay the whole fee. So it's more like 52½%

PenetratinP 12-21-2005 01:42 PM

We give our affiliates a true 50% payout of the sale amount.

The fees are paid out of our cut.

CDSmith 12-21-2005 01:46 PM

Some charge a processing fee, while others do not, or at least it's not done visibly. With some sponsors of mine for example, I get 50% of the take, no decuctions whatsoever. If a signup is $30, I get $15.... end of story.

But other programs do charge a processing fee to me, and one or two even charge me a fee for check printing.

gornyhuy 12-21-2005 01:48 PM

YEah totally varies - sucks too, really brings your percentages down.

ShaneRyale 12-21-2005 01:58 PM

Depends on the program. We absorb the fees as do alot of other programs.

We give the full 60%, seems only fair seeming we advertise 60%.. Many split the cost with the webmaster, which to me seems fine on a 50/50 rev share program.

Dollarmansteve 12-21-2005 02:12 PM

It varies by sponsor. Simply read the TOS.

Dalai lama 12-21-2005 02:13 PM

80% of the 50/50 programs does process the fees in the affiliate payout.

Makingcoin 12-21-2005 02:59 PM

www.makingcoin.com and www.coinscuties.com

We pay all processors billing fees, so you get a true 50-60% of each and every sale you generate.
