It's all about the money
|
who cares about playing with the enemy, its just a game. he made a good career move.
|
I hope he gets a lot of beer poured on him at Fenway.
|
The Yankees always have and always will go out and overpay for players. There's a reason why the RedSox wouldnt pay Damon 52 million, he has almost a worse arm than Bernie Williams. Good move on the offensive side though, as it allows Jeter to bat in his natural #2 slot in the order versus leadoff.
Yankees can have as many bats as they want. They're going to have the same problem in '06 that they had in '05, no pitching. They'll make the playoffs but be bounced again in the division or league series. Now my Dodgers on the other hand. They're putting it all together. Just need another starting pitcher. Nomaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! |
damn I was hoping the dodger's would pick him up

2) His arm is about on par with Williams, but he's significantly faster, which will make the outfield SIGNIFICANTLY stronger (making up for Sheffield and Matsui's relative slowness). Also more speed on the basepaths is always good. Cheerio. |

Another interesting stat that I was reading was Damon's offensive statistics at batter friendly Fenway versus other parks. Batting average of 25 points less. Red Sox can take that 52 million and find a suitable replacement in CF and use the rest on pitching. Basically what the Yankees should of done but havent over the past 5 years. |
good can't stand the fucker:)

I'm a Yankee fan, and I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled about it. Dude throws like my sister, and $13M x 4 is steep. Of course, if he posts .325-avg 125-R 30-2d 20-SB I'll learn to live with it.
But I still see this douchebag sending it into the upperdeck in game 7 off that pussyboy Vasquez no fucking way did I want him |
Good for both parties for sure! :thumbsup
