I remember jeff walking into our office before he made a dime on the internet. He wanted to sell us up skirt stuff he had taken without consent of the girls in the pix.

We passed on the content and told him to check out the internet as an outlet.

A couple months later he came by again driving a new car. With an office. A staff dj on payroll. Seems he'd met D$ and learned a thing or two and met some key people...

anyone who wants to know the story email me. in so many ways when he found god and went the way of the cloth, he destroyed an extravagant lifestyle that so many of us in the company enjoyed. he's happy now, and doesn't want anything to do with the internet. jeff taught me more in the 3 years that i worked for him at busty than some people can learn in 20 years on the web. he helped me lay the foundation for what i have today. i miss the busty crew.

I remember trying to explain to Gavin what the harddrives in all those servers were worth if he wanted to sell them. Jeff explained to me that even porn models need a chance to start their life all over without the worry that someone may see their pictures online. :(

well, last i heard he was a missionary for the church that he joined. i'm not gonna publically tell the story about what got jeff to where he is now out of respect, but from what i have heard he is doing fine. i'm sure he isn't rich like "porn rich" made him, but he doesn't care to be honest.

jeff was one of the most generous people that i ever met. i had to stop him from buying me stuff all the time just because it was too much for what i was really doing for him.

so, i guess the answer is, he's not mad rich right now, but he's doing great and is happy. i'm happy for him as long as he is happy. everyone else from busty besides his sister, phillip, and greg are still in the adult business.

I'll always have much love for Jeff.

He is a really nice guy with a HUGE heart.

He was one of the reasons I started my own Marketing Firm to consult for people.

I had a lunch meeting with him before he got started and I taught him some very useful things in that 1 hour. He took the advice and built an empire. I was working at WebSideStory as an employee at that time, so I was young and still learning the game. Appearantly I learned some good stuff, he kept it as simple as I explained it. He even had a motto, "Just Shoot Porn", that was more simple then I had explained, but it worked.

Then I realized I could charge good money for my advice.

He brought me on board to help as a marketing consultant and we tour things up back in the day. The secret though was his formula. Natural boobs, no hardcore. The rest was doing deals with Money Tree and Sex Tracker, then others.

Newman is doing good, I spoke with him a few months ago and he was going into another level of the ministery schooling so he can become a preacher. Since the BA days he has traveled all over the world working with the less fortunate and been having a great time.

Jeff is one of the smartest marketers I have ever worked with and he had a great time doing what he did with BA, when the fun was over for him he shut it down.

Not quite true, i still have almost all the original images and videos i shot for BA during the last two years of its existence. I often look back to those days and wonder what Jeff would be doing now had he stayed in Porn ?

Those were some crazy days in SD... lol... It's great to hear Jeff is happy and doing well, good for him!

Back when Jeff was in the biz, he would call up and tell me his latest and greatest marketing ideas and I have to admit he was really ahead of the game. It was Jeff who first spoke to me about a two-tier affiliate program which Epoch now offers as a standard feature. He was also so personable that you couldn't help liking the guy. He had a certain charisma to be sure. I thought it was a joke when Gavin called me up to say they were shutting down. I just couldn't believe what I was hearing.

Jeff, Gavin, Lindsey.... they were all great to know. And it was through BA that I met Airek too and it's good see that he's cut his own way in the biz.

I don't blame Jeff at all for what he did. If more people put their convictions over their incomes the world would be a far better place. I'm sure Jeff will be just fine and is probably happier now than he's ever been. And he was pretty happy when I knew him.

I had to listen to Jeff's famous lines " You know what YOU should do " somuch I wanted to strangle him sometimes-
I don't think his convictions were put above his incomes-
I believe one too many hits of Ketamine and Ecstacy is what made Jeff religious.

Jeff was certainly an innovator and quick study. I remember when he decided to post his traffic stats in a way that all affiliates could see them - He found that it made them more competitive to try and be at the top.

D$ - he certainly learned a lot from you and you did set him up with key players like Andy E. - before his own personal flame out luckily...

What happened in his life that made him 'find religion'?
