First time in Vegas, spam me good places to eat

The wife is coming out with me and looking at some great places to eat. Missed going out to Vegas last two years and want to do the town right.

Rio Carnival World Buffet :food-smil

Enjoy the international feel and flavor of Carnival World with buffet offerings featuring Mexican, Italian, Chinese, Japanese and American specialties. A wonderful variety of breakfast treats including eggs benedict and eggs made-to-order, waffles, crepes and pancakes. Perfect way to end an all-nighter or start a new day! . Good food and excellent choices featuring cold shrimp and delicious salads. Enjoy mouthwatering homemade soups and carving stations to scrumptious desserts. Expect a crowd.

Emeril's New Orleans Fish House :smilie_we

Famous for his energetic cooking show, Emeril Lagasse has created a fantastic Creole-Cajun haven in the heart of Vegas. Dressed in aquatic colors and details, the esteemed restaurant makes fresh seafood its passion and adorns it with more than a little spice. Crawfish, boiled shrimp, and pan-fried crab cakes are excellent, as are mushroom-stuffed Maine lobster and pecan-crusted Texas redfish. Meat dishes are delectable as well, as proven by items like a grilled double-cut pork chop with tamarind glaze.

That place everyone eats at in the Venetian. They serve fat people sized portions.

If you don't mind spending the big bucks on some fine food and wine, then Picasso's at the Bellagio is most excellent (oh, and you are seated next to Pablo Picasso original oil paintings too which further adds to the richness of the evening). Your wifey will adore you for this one...

For old style Las Vegas, Alan Albert's serves excellent steaks and lobster.

All of the good hotels have very decent restaurants...the key is to start researching them now and make your reservations already since with CES going on, the best restaurants are going to fill-up fast (just as the hotels have).

Ok now I am HUNGRY! and for steaks...It's hard to beat one of the best old school, classy places in Vegas...The Rosewood Grille.

The Kobe beef burger looks awesome!!

Delmonico at Venetian for steakhouse.

Any of the restaurants at either Venetian or Bellagio are top tier.

For buffets, Bellagio is by far the best. I hear Wynn may be better but have not personally tried it yet. Not cheap, and expect lines at both.
