Definately not smart planning on AVNs part, it's without a doubt going to greatly detract from the convention.

I think it is a great idea, and am looking forward to it, imagine the possibilities with that many people together .

Rest. are always crowded any where near the strip.

Clubs dont mean anything to me, I am there to do business, if I wanted to go just for a vacation and to Party, I would of course go like on new years ( oohh yeah it would be crowded then too), or maybe superbowl... oooops crowded then too, hmmm I know I want to go vacation and party where the clubs are slow and empty that makes more sence to me LOL

If I was going to party and vacation, I can think of no better time than the busiest time of year when all the strippers are in town and many of the wives are in town and pissed at their husband, or all the single girls that come to town from California, Colorado, and pheonix, knowing that rich horney men are in town.

I never knew how to party very well though so I guess I have no idea what I am talking about .

truth be told I already have reservations at Delmonicos in the Venetian for wens night and eating there BONE IN RIBEYE is worth the trip by itself!!!!!!!!!!

in fact rooms were almost as cheap as cancun, or florida when they first went on sale and the dates were known, I mean it is not like this show was/is a surprise to anyone. ( why wait ?) then get upset when the hotels figure out hmmm we can charge more now . I am only paying 212 a night at ceasars ( but I planned ahead)

and I have a limo reserved one night, and I have dinner reservation made other nights, and guess what i am a local so I know other off strip good restaurants to go to as well that are a short drive 9 as oppossed to a long line) away.

it is simple really and all the bitching is just hiding some other facts i susspect.

No matter what Joe, some people are gonna have something to Bitch about. Yeah there maybe a hell of a wait for a cab outside the Venetian for example but when you go to a city like Vegas thats just something you should expect.

The Sands Expo and the Convention center are TWO different places.

if you tip your cab driver good and get his direct number he will come back for you and ignore the lines you can call him direct the whole time you are there ( and rest assured all the cabbies wil be working all week)

if you want to do it on the cheap, then you are right better stay at home or go somewhere else because vegas is not cheap. at anytime of the year. and they ALWAYS raise the hotel rates when it is a big event in town.

Even if AVN was to move the show ( a move I advocate BTW) to the middle of Jan after the CES people would bitch that they couldnt go to all shows together LOL
and guess what the hotel prices would still be high.

Vegas sucks during CES, I don't care how you try to sugar coat it. 100k lookie-loos, wanting to see some titties.

Restaurants are overbooked, restaurant staff are not in a good mood in general... CES people tip like shit, so every service person in town dreads the entire week. Traffic is a nightmare, on the strip it always is, yes, but all the little side streets off the strip turn into snarled up messes. You might as well walk or take the tram.

Don't fuck up and miss your flight home or you'll be sitting there for hours or even days trying to get a flight out, either.

And yes, it did snow in Vegas last year, the morning after the last day of the show. Wasn't sticking but the airport was on about a 4 hour delay when I left.

Unless you roll with the Anal Hobbit that is.

All I have to say is they better fucking have hired LOTS of new bartenders.
