Fuck...stomach's growlin'
But the kitchen is three floors down...the house is 118 yrs. old - and the creaky wooden floorboards and stairs are enough to wake the dead (including the wife 'n kids)
I need an airdrop of munchies, stat! |
you probably got ghosts up in there...
|
That sounds like a big problem. Come on, go down and have something!

I remember a time I was at the bro-in-law's place one night, we were partyin' hard and tossin' a ton of booze down. I crashed out later in the spare bedroom and swore I saw a big black inky object in a far corner of the room. At first thought maybe it was a garbage bag filled with laundry or somethin'. I got up, turned on the light...and the object was gone. Likewise, freaked me out. I went and slept on the sofa. |

Naw, ours is just old, heh. It was the first one built on the street back in the day. And its been completely redone on the outside with vinyl siding so it doesn't look its age. The only way to tell is from the inside. A few years back some people stopped by while I was outside clippin' the hedges - and they turned out to be grandkids of the family that originally built the place. They told me a bunch of stories about the history of the house...and I gave them a quick tour of the place inside. It was rather cool hearing their memories of the house as kids. For instance, the walkway that leads from the back porch to the driveway is handmade concrete stones and each one features the names of the family members that originally lived here. And a tree that stands at the foot of the driveway was once a very "photogenic" tree that people in the neighbourhood used to come and photograph because of its shape and fullness (sounds weird, I know...but that's what the guy told me). Apparently even the local newspaper ran photos of the tree (its a small town, apparently it was a slow news day). Inside we have a chandelier in the front entrance that's been there over 70 years, and the antique brass doorbell chimes are very old, too. The entire house is built with real oak 2x4's (back when they were actually that size) and they're solid as iron. |
roger that, come back with location go ahead.
