I hate when the news has witnesses explain the obvious...

that plane crashed in florida today, and the news said "here is a first hand account from a witness blah blah blah..." and the lady says some shit like "well we saw this explosion, then i saw two pieces...and then it crashed into the water." it's like, o rly? no shit? what is the point of even saying that? is it just me or do people always describe obvious shit on news interviews?

I believe that's just some sort of confirmation that would give credibilty to the incident.

Point taken, sir. Nobody's perfect. There's always a room for improvement. Thanks to people like you--constructive criticism is always good.

It's someone to throw in front of a camera to say "something" - they missed the footage of the plane hitting the water, - what's the next best "drama"? Can't show (or would be insensitive) to show bodies being pulled from the water.

blame it on the one who does the coverage. the witnesses are just by standers, they are not trained as reporters.

i think that's what it is. when they don't have anything else really to "show" they just have lame ass witnesses describing shit they saw lol...

I agree with that. It's a matter of getting a story out of them.

my favorite was listening to the witness say how the plane 'corkscrewed' before it crashed...she twisted her hands and everything...i was impressed.
