How secure is Opera?

I am really liking this browser, but I am kind of concerned about security, is it as solid as FF? better? worse?

Thanks ppl

It's all bells and whistles and makes for a pretty good peformance. But in the end, it's nothing more than a bunch of hot air. Be like the infested masses...use IE Explorer. :thumbsup

I like it as well..just run your anti spy ware programs regularly and keep your virus protection updated

i use it exclusively - glad the sheep don't want anthing to do w/ it - more for me.

guess it's the name that's unattractive.

I haven't tried Opera. I always use FF and avant as my back up browser

for one it does not support activex, almost nobody writes trojans and viruses for it and so on. Its much faster than any other browser what more do you need ?

Opera is 'more secure' than Firefox and IE in the sense that it's been exploited less..
Whether the coding is more secure, who knows..
it's used less, so it's targetted less..

I find it faster, more economical, and definately more pleasant to use...
