Does anyone own the new M5 bmw, and would you recommend on getting it. I have a 545i and thinking about trading it for the new m5.

over priced. Almost all BMW M5 owners I know or have heard from are keeping their E39's....the king of M5's.

Mine came in last week - absolutely amazing, make's my old M5 seem so antiquated! However, with the 550 (new 4.8 V8) I would probably buy a loaded version of that for $30,000.00 less unless you have tons of cash. :)

The freaking M6 is way over priced. It goes around $100K

i know 2 guys down here that have them, very nice car, one guy has had it about a month and the other guy got his 2 weeks ago. Very nice, when you turn, the seats suck you in! haha

Had mine since August - best 4 door car on the planet no doubt - but not ideal for daily use.

Well for me it's a couple of things.

1. The SMG is orientated for performance, it's not a laid back cruising kind of box (7 speed)

2. It's 507 HP and you tend to use that all the time, this equates to two things - lots of speeding tickets and lousy gas mileage

Also - it's just so nice I don't want to hack it about as a daily driver.

Solution:

Buy a daily driver. :thumbsup

it's not so fast, get a buggati veyron to make sure you won't be late on your dates.

I'd honestly wait till late 06.
There's no rush, and your E60 545 probably wont devaluate much.

this car is probably too expencive for you.
