I haven't had Chinese food in so long....and, really, two subjects near and dear to every webmaster's heart....food and sex...not necessarily in that order and not mutually exclusive!

Brad Mitchell 12-19-2005 07:35 PM

Hot and Sour soup is also my favorite Chinese food. Problem is, it seems to be so hit and miss from one restaraunt to the next! I hate that.

Brad

Still working, my friend? :)

I agree, so it's become my standard on whether or not the restaurant is any good. If they can make a decent hot and sour, I'm usually assured of a decent meal.

I love a good dim sum, too.

Hey You . . . I Know You! 12-19-2005 09:37 PM

One time I was eating a "beef" dinner from a chinese restaurant. I really liked their food until . . .

. . . I was eating out of the container and as I was digging, I found a bone. I didn't think much of it and I kept on eating, but then I found some more bones. I dumped the contents of the container on a plate and started pushing the bones off to one side. As I looked at the bones, I could tell that they were too big to be chicken bones, and way too small to be from a cow.

I didn't want to think that they could be cat bones, but they were the perfect size. I ended up calling the health department to see if they wanted to check into it, and they said that I could have just put the bones in the dinner myself. I saved the "evidence" for a while and then just threw it all away. I didn't go back for years, and when I did go back, I just got vegetable dishes.

I guess it could have been worse.

The important question is.....how did it taste?

I guess, in your case, ignorance would have been bliss. :(

sizzling rice soup is great, but most people don't like it, and i've never been anywhere that would serve it for one person.
