Was thinking about my decision NOT to goto vegas this year, and I truly believe it was the best decision I ever made.

gona be in the dominican republic instead. And we'll have fun, do business and be able to RELAX

Why not just get your own car and driver for the week?

cause it's crowds EVERYWHERE. at the tables, in the restruants, in the clubs, etc. it's 20to1 guys to girls. it's COLD. It's overpriced.

dominican sounds sooo much better

shit i wish this wasnt so close to costa rica and cancun. i am sure you guys will have a blast. ces is also the reason i am not doing vegas.

I decided to not go to Vegas this year, too.

i hope you fellas can do something like this in the summer, i dont see myself going to anymore AVN related shows. however i am already booked for the vegas show

i wonder how much attendance has dropped for this years show compared to last years....i would imagine it will be extremely noticeable

and I can't wait til it is over and we hear all the stories about the general public coming to the internext side of things...LOL

Vegas is nice to visit, but...its way too much of a mob scene to enjoy yourself.....

definately see the logic in not going .. 3 conventions at once, hmmm, like vegas isn't already overcrowded.

have fun in DR, great place, just don't drink the water lol, made the mistake of thinkin mexico was the only place you had to be safe. but Montezuma showed me the errors of my ways.

I went back and forth and decided to go to Vegas.

I think it was a bad idea to move the show to the same time as CES. And I hate to reinforce that behavior.

But in reality, I think it may make a good weeder. The guys who are just coming for the parties and do not have any real game will be weeded out by the price.

I still hate the crowds, but so far I've been able to pull strings and get reservations for myself, my employees and people I want to entertain.

Las Vegas is hardly overcrowded . . . maybe from a Riverside POV, but I have never seen Vegas so crowded I couldn't handle it.

I've been during CES before including one day of it last year. I've been during the hey day of Comdex many times.

It's not that the town is immobile or unusable when at capacity, you just have to have a LOT more patience...

--cab lines from hell at all of the major venues. expect 45-60 minute cab lines at Venetian and Sands late afternoon.

--reservations require connections or greased palms unless you're eating at Fatburger.

--cafes and buffets will have 45-60 minute lines during peaks.

--very few seats at tables open, and expect to play $100 or better at places like Venetian.

Money fixes most of these things.

And that's what I was saying, the guy who is used to being able to do the entire trip for $1000 is SOL.

i wish that DR wasnt so close to the other 3 shows i'm going to. i cant go to shows every 3 weeks. takes me too long to recover.



crowds for vegas? nope, i love crowds. i hate that the economy is ridiculous and that WAITING for anything will suck. i hate to wait. i love crowds though.

more than likely i will pull the show up at the airport with a credit card and jsut catch a flight in for a night. stay with a friend and be out the next day. but, i won't be paying up to 1000 a night for a room that i will only see for 2 hours a day.

Look at the bright side, there will be 50,000 new GFY posters the week after all asking how to submit galleries.

yup..last year was retarded at the round bar in Mandalay..I couldn't figure out who was there for internext or CES..drove me nuts!

hopefully I"ll see you on the beach Scottie!! I'm looing into the flights and hotel right now. :)
