Your top three movies of this year?

Enjoyment wise (meaning they don't have to be the best acting, etc aslong as you enjoyed them) which films get your vote for the three films this year that you enjoyed the most.

I have a feeling there are still a lot of films i haven't seen yet that I will enjoy. I like dialouge heavy movies and I don't seem to have seen many this year so maybe they just haven't hit the UK yet.

For me, this was a year where I saw more 'blockbuster' type films then I normally do and a good number of them were suprisingly good. I am liking the trend towards action films that actually have character development.

Anyhoo...the first three that came to mind for me are:

Batman Begins
Sin city
King Kong

BAKO 12-19-2005 05:18 AM

King Kong
The Island
Batman Begins

Orsm 12-19-2005 05:19 AM

In no particular order...

Revenge of the Sith
40 Year Old Virgin
The Island

fraggle 12-19-2005 05:19 AM

Downfall
nothing else

Nookster 12-19-2005 05:22 AM

King Kong
Sin City

karlm 12-19-2005 05:44 AM

ssp 12-19-2005 05:47 AM

I can't believe The Island has been mentioned twice already. :(

For me it would be:

Sin City
Lord of War
Batman

DivX 12-19-2005 05:50 AM

Lord of War
Sin City
March of the Penguins

Katrina 12-19-2005 06:10 AM

Downfall
Brothers Grimm
Oliver Twist

reed_4 12-19-2005 06:14 AM

Harry Potter
KingKong
Batman Returns

Bansheelinks 12-19-2005 08:19 AM

King Kong (amazing is all I can say)
Batman Begins (best superhero movie ever made)
Cinderella Man (great boxing movie) are the top 3

the third Harry Potter movie was also very good though, and Sin City is up there, too.

Abithefiend 12-19-2005 08:20 AM

Revenge of the Sith
Harry Potter
Wallace & Grommit

I love going to the movies.

Funbrunette 12-19-2005 08:23 AM

If these weren't 2004 movies they'd be right up there, top of the list -they beat all of the above:

Downfall (Der Untergang)

Just keep in mind that I don't see all the movies that come out :)

Consensus Clear

well its pretty clear that GFY'ers have great taste, and the consensus clearly is:

King Kong
Batman Begins
Sin City

I personally have KK, BB and Cinderella Man, with Sin City fourth.
