its ebay all around i suspect.. look around on their site and they publish a surprising number of stats about their daily listings by region, category, etc

ebay, no other auction compares, wich is sad b/c ebay rapes on charges to the seller

http://www.marktplaats.nl (dutch) is an ebay company, they have lotsa fast growing sell/buy sites, theyre not really auction sites but most work alike, you can bid, dont have to register and free under a certain amount of $
