CNN Reporting the Worst Computer Virus Ever?
I just got this email from my aunt and it looks real:
WORST VIRUS EVER ---CNN ANNOUNCED PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST !! A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee and no vaccine has yet been developed. This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored. This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list with the title: "A Card for You". As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot . When the ctrl+alt+delkeys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently destroyi! ng the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York, according to news broadcast by CNN. This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject: "A Virtual Card for You." As soon as you get the mail, delete it!! Even if you know the sender !!! Please ! pass this mail to all of your friends. Forward this to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like myself, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at all. Also, there was an attached file that I wouldn't touch.....could be the virus. |
mouhahahaha, yeah , thats real!!!!!! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !!

WTF.. Merry Christmas... :)

People who still open attachments are simply morons.

Holy shit, I never thought I'd see that on a fucking webmaster board.
Nice to see 2000/2001 is still alive and kicking. Welcome to the leading edge of 2006. |

They are also mentally and physically unable to forward anything as inline text, even though I've explained it to them a thousand times. EVERYTHING goes out as an attachment. And not just one, because that would be way too easy. I must open at least 7 or 8 attachments in each email to get to the stupid "you're my friend and you're loved so pass this on to 10 other people and something good will come your way" 1998 gif of flowers in a vase or beating hearts. I've quit fixing their computers because I hope they'll all permanently go offline. |
Evil!!!!
