[Rant] "Puff Daddy" "P Diddy" etc
 

What the hell is so special about him? I've been watching "Making the band" on and off with my girlfriend for a bit, and I really really don't understand where *he* gets off criticizing talent...what does he really do in his songs? Talk? I don't get it, but maybe someone else here does..did he sing somewhere I missed and was that spectacular? Granted he's got a lot of experience in the business, but I just don't know where he gets off thinking he's "the shit"..

Well with "Puffy" it just struck a nerve after watching his interaction with the girls that look up to him and hope to gain stardom from him and him basically being a critic from hell towards them and pointing out each and every individual flaw...this only because he's been on MTV for how long now with that show that just recently ended? That's basically the only reason I bring him up now, he's been all over TV/MTV about this shit.

Without mr Biggie Smalls, he wouldn't be shit today. Period. No question asked.

THANK YOU! EXACTLY my thoughts. He rode Biggie's coattails until he passed, by then he had his name out there. Way too much money, and his clothes aren't anything worth buying for $60 for a pair of frigging jeans, give me a break. Like I want to brag that I made this talent-less fuck any richer.

i just like him because hes an amazing entrepreneur.. i don't like his music, but i can respect him based on his business knowledge alone, and the fact that he went above and beyond making a few hits and opening a record label like most rappers do :2 cents:

he is not really a rapper he is a producer. Lack of talent can be said about 75% or more of all "talent" today rap or not. Puffy is doing what you sit around and do all the time most likely, CRITICIZE other people for their talent or lack of, the differance, he gets a show and money for it.......

I'm no puffy fan, but he did discover Mary J Blidge, Biggie Smalls & Craig Mack.
He also produced for LL Cool J & a load of other big names.

He knows what he's talking about!

i heard nothing about him untill Biggy died, then he was huge, i didn't get it.

he didnt discover biggie. he was washing the car of the man that discovered him. he just happened to be friends with him.

and i know its good to remember your dead friends, but to do some PR bullshit every year is not needed. just cause you have the money we have to hear about how your friend got shot. lots of people get shot. why is it you dont hear about tupac every year like you do biggie?
