Ok, what's better? Canon EOS D60 OR Olympus E20?
 

I have been looking for a high end D-SLR for my money and I have come down to these 2 models. If anyone has used either one of these or both, please give me any feedback you have.

I have the exact same question :)
And the only thing so far i found bad on the e20 is that it has a non removable lens.

I got a d-30 and the d-60 is almost the same camera just more pixels and a few other bells and whistles. I shoot the d-30 at half resolution and have more than super quality for the web.

Not bad quality bikiniman, but I am going to be working mostly indoors and I need super high quality, so if you have some samples of the D30 indoors, that would be great.

I can't buy the D30 anymore because it's discontinued. Would you recommend buying the D60 or find something else? Is 6 mpix too much for studio stuff?

I sent you an email about the camera. But still, if there is anyone out there that has the E20 or D60 with photos you have taken with it in a studio or similar setup please post them. I am having a field day trying to decide what I REALLY need and what I don't need when shooting these chicks.

Look on Ebay. You can find a new D30 on there for around $1700.

I have an E10 and like it but I would opt for the D30 or D60 because of the burst capablities.

You can set the resolution on the d-30 and d-60 and most all digital cameras to the size you are comfortable with. You dont have to take all your pics at 6 megapixels just because you have a 6 megapixel camera. Get the d-60 and choose the resolution according to your needs. No big deal. If you might want to make 8 x 10 prints shoot at the highest setting. Pics just for the web shoot at one of the lower settings. Simple as that.

The E20 has a problem if you shoot at a reasonable speed. The buffer, every 5-6 shots it stops to download the images to the chip.

The D30 did not do this and I suppose the D60 will not as well.
You have to have the speed to shoot movement or flowing work. Otherwise the models tend to start look statuesqe and bored, because you are taking a picture every 2 minutes.

It depends on the style you are going to shoot, Hustler/Penthouse style is slow, Teens is fast.

When you say the D30 and probably D60 will not do this, are you saying that they would be fine to shoot fast content (teen content) or are you saying they might have the same problem as the E20?

The downloading to the chip on the E series of Olympus is my beef. The Canon D series do not have this problem.

They have a burst that can handle speed shooting.

The D30 definately does not do it, shot with it and did the "Freezing" of the cum shot in the air. Which needs you to shoot continuously for 3-4 seconds 3-4 frams a second and it was fine.

Never used the D60, but if it is an upgrade of the D30 it should be even better.

I got the Nikon D1X that does even faster shots.

Myself and other professional porno photographer have tried to use the E10/20, but the buffering is frustating.

We are used to shooting as soon as the lights recharge, every four seconds. This is essential for shooting "Teeny" too many make it look static and contrived.

Up to you at the end of the day, but think about the difference in price, add shooting a set a sesion and keeping the model "lively"
