Do you target your blogs to a few keyword or one main topic?

It seems that by targeting an industry, you have a lot of related topics rather than a keyword you are focusing on.

Do you run a blog for each keyword?

It seems like it would be ineffective to create a site that posts technology news rather than just reporting on one technology.

If I want to start a technology blog, should I be focusing on a certain technology or should I focus it on technology advances in general?

For higher conversions, you are always better off categorizing your content, hence creating niche specific content.

so would you make separate sites for dlp, lcds, lcos, and plasma? or would you target digital tvs?

It seems like it wouldnt be bad to target digital tvs, but it seems like it would be harder to get results for lcd dlp plasma etc keywords if my site didnt focus on just one.

just trying to get an idea of how to effectively target groups of related things.

If you want to sell TVs, you should build a blog with all the technologies.. if someone is looking for a LCD, but he see a Plasma on your blog, this same consumer can finaly buy a plasma .. that's the way I see it :)

but would they have trouble getting to my site in the first place because it isnt optimized specifically for LCD?

As long as you have enough content for each of the keywords it shouldn't really make that much of a difference. Although, search engines might find that sites which as completely "devoted" to one niche specific topic have a higher importance than sites where this niche specific topic is just a part of their website. In either case, enough content to cover to topic is essential. From a sales point of view, it might help to compare both and let your visitors have the option to go for either one of them.

Target posting definitely helps but the CORE issue is the QUALITY and RELEVANCY of the content. Fresh original content is king. If you need mainstream blog entries (we sell in packages of 110 or 365-1 year worth of posts) hit me up.
