Is it possible to reset a theme file in the Theme Editor (under Presentation)?

JD 12-16-2005 05:39 PM

I cut and pasted into a wrong file.

Baxter 12-16-2005 05:42 PM

you should be able to just load the original file and it will overwrite it...well thats what i did anyway...if you have the original that is

Nope, no way to recover it unless you have the original file backed up somewhere.

sickkittens 12-16-2005 05:53 PM

OK, I re-installed the file but everytime I try changing the stylesheet file, no changes occur. (changing background color, link color, etc.) Any idea why?

Not sure if this is what you were asking about last night, but I was going thru some notes and style.css came up as the file I think I was trying to remember.

make sure you chmod 666 the file, otherwise you can't edit and save it in wordpress.

Yeah, that makes sense...although I'm playing around w/ that file now and it doesn't want to update. :(

Sorry, my knowledge is limited as I have a partner that I rely on for such things.

If you have the original on your PC I would delete the folder for the theme on the server and re-upload it.

Did that. Still no luck. It's gotta be something obvious that I'm not doing right.
