Is it possible to reset a theme file in the Theme Editor (under Presentation)?

Nope, no way to recover it unless you have the original file backed up somewhere.

OK, I re-installed the file but everytime I try changing the stylesheet file, no changes occur. (changing background color, link color, etc.) Any idea why?

a stupid question but are you changeing the file in wordpress or ftp? i ask only casue i did that and had some problem ...casue i was editing the main theme ya im a moron

Not sure if this is what you were asking about last night, but I was going thru some notes and style.css came up as the file I think I was trying to remember.

make sure you chmod 666 the file, otherwise you can't edit and save it in wordpress.

If you have the original on your PC I would delete the folder for the theme on the server and re-upload it.
