I always enjoyed him, he was in a few good movies, small parts. Will be interesting to see how they handle the situation and who will replace him.

eroswebmaster 12-16-2005 04:08 PM

Hrmm thats pretty shitty. I liked him on West Wing. I think this season is probably pretty much in the can but I wonder how they will handle it next season.

ronaldo 12-16-2005 04:14 PM

He was only going to be 59 in 4 days. Damn. I thought he was quite a bit older than that.

Alan Alda is going to win on The West Wing anyway.

Well i guess they are going choose that ending since john will not be around to be the vp.

DaveTO 12-16-2005 08:54 PM

He was also in the Rock, the guy who Sean Connery threw off the balcony.

Translation 12-16-2005 08:56 PM

Doubt it... but won't matter..
show is supposedly done after this season

Bama 12-16-2005 09:08 PM

Damn - that's fucked up! It's also very ironic because the whole reason "Leo" was no longer the Chief Of Staff was a massive heart attack on the show.

What a twist it'll make in the show's plot now.

RIP John - you were a great actor!

Marshal 12-16-2005 09:12 PM

RIP, i liked him... :(

The Truth Hurts 12-16-2005 09:14 PM

just last week he said something to the effect of "you guys are trying to kill me" in a joking but serious manner too..

drunkmonkey 12-16-2005 09:24 PM

It really sucks ass that he died. I loved him on WW. Besides Josh, he was my favorite character. He seemed like a totally different person when he was on the celebrity poker which I think was a good indication of his acting ability. Sad to see him go.

As far as WW is concerned, I would like to see Alda win. I would be very interested in seeing the administration from a republican perspective (if the liberals in hollywood could pull it off) even though Alda is portrayed as an anti-religious, pro-life republican (which already seems to prove that hollywood cannot pull it off). Though I think they did an excellent job when they had Goodman as president. He was fantastic as a republican.

Vitasoy 12-17-2005 02:55 AM

Damn... May he rest in peace. :(

Pandemos 12-17-2005 04:32 AM

Only on season 6 here in the UK, but I read somewhere that one episode of season 7 contains a flash-forward three years that has Leo as VP. Obviously not going to happen now.

nope the flash forward has everyone meeting again, and they are supposed to meet with the current president, for the opening of the jed bartlet memorial lib. BUT the scene flashs back to the present when the door of the limo opens up.

you never get to see who the winner is supposed to be.

Marshal 12-17-2005 10:23 AM

AmeliaG 12-17-2005 10:31 AM
