Say you are making a shitload of money, and I mean a shitload

is it WISE to move to a tax-free country? where you can live like a king and not give a penny to the government?

discuss

slapass 12-15-2005 05:02 PM

Can you name a tax free country?

Manowar 12-15-2005 05:03 PM

Depends on a 'shitload'.

But if you are talking metrics, then yes.

Talk to a tax accountant and he/she can advise you of the best ways to minimize your tax exposure. Do yourself a favor and take advice on this subject at face value from GFY.

DH

FuqALot 12-15-2005 05:09 PM

You don't need to move to a country. Simply stay in Monaco for a few months and you are fine. Ofcourse you could also 'stay' in Monaco. Buy one ticket for yourself to Monaco. When you are there, return home. Three months later let someone else buy a ticket to Monaco again and then when you're there, return home agian. If irs visits you in usa, you tell 'em you're visiting for a few days.

As Lasse would say,

:pimp pimp pimp

pornguy 12-15-2005 05:09 PM

Do your self a real favor, and learn to do your own tax's. they give you all the ins and outs. take advantage.

slapass 12-15-2005 05:10 PM

Monaco is nice. That would rock. Being from the US, they chase us if we make too much and try and move.

Well you can move to Monaco, but houses ad products are much much more expensive there as well...

Anyway, to answer your question, I would MAYBE move when the country is very very nice. But I won't move to a "shithole" just because I could live like a king there. I would advice you, talk to accountants, and ask them what options there are. You will be suprised how much is legally possible, without the need to move....

Monaco is not a shithole. Just my opinion. Very cool they do not pay taxes. In the US after a certain income level all kinds of deductions fall off. It turns into a straight 35% prety quickly.

BlackCrayon 12-15-2005 05:19 PM

i never really understood this. if i was making a ton of cash i'd want to enjoy it with the people who were good to me when i didn't have it. to move to some foreign country where i didn't know anyone and might not even know the language just doesn't appeal to me, even if it does save me money.

Lol I know Monaco is NOT a shithole...But I mean some of those "cheap"countries where you can live like a king with the money that makes you above average in your own country

TheJimmy 12-15-2005 05:49 PM

In Sweden you pay about 60% as self employed after a 20% salary.

I think the point is, who knows when the train will stop. So giving away half is painful.

escorpio 12-15-2005 08:33 PM

I thought Canadians liked taxes.

candyflip 12-15-2005 08:40 PM

Talk to an account or financial planner.

A good financial planner can show you how to put your money to work for you and offset the loss you take in taxes. Of course you'll have to pay taxes on that too, but it's more money for you.

My mom does this for other people and makes a pretty good living. She was a teach for years.

In her first two week of December her commission check was just a tad bit over $10k. She's hoping to hit $25k for the month of december. She's making a lot of people a lot of money.

Find someone to help you do the same.
