Long since gone. Kinda cool, I can measure the epochs of my life based on the cities I've lived in.
Raised in small-town Texas, moved to Washington, DC. Since 18, lived in Kansas, Boston Area, New Jersey, Japan, Korea and Long Island. I eventually got back to Texas.
Driving through Austin one day in 1975, I got off the freeway for gas and a soda. I liked the town so much, I moved here and have been here ever since. Good nightclubs, lots of live music, beautiful women, four seasons and nice countryside with lots of trees and lakes. Home of UT, the Armadillo World HQ, LBJ Library, the state Capital and a bunch of computer/electronics companies... Makes for a good mix of people..hippies, students, legislators and techno geeks. |
I still live in small city where I was born...
no i get bored there if i live there again geeee........ i want some environtment whose competitors always there. :thumbsup
Never moved. Dunno why though... :disgust

i lived where i was born and raised until i was 27, i moved this summer 8 hours away to the capital of canada. i miss it sometimes but im glad to be away for a while. its very small go nowhere rural town and it seemed like if i stayed there i might end up like everyone else, an alcoholic.

still living where i was born
I live in the town I was born in. I'm actually living in the house that my Dad grew up in.
The girl I'm dating went to my high school. We knew of each other, but didn't know each other. My parents are moving sometime in the next year and I will probably buy their house, which was built when I was still in school. I've moved to NYC, I've moved to Florida...but I seem to keep getting sucked back to Rochester. |
Yep, born and raised here.. still do.
I've always lived in New York State, but since being born in Brooklyn, I've moved quite a bit. I live on Long Island now, and if I miss Brooklyn, or anywhere else, I can pretty much just get in my car and go there.

I moved from a tiny town in eastern PA to Austin when I was 18..one way ticket and all my shit packed in a trunk...lived there 10 years, then got some crazy notion to move to the shithole of the USA..Florida..bypassed idiot boyfriend I was supposed to move in with and kept on going till I got to cocoa beach... stopped...got a hotel, got a job, got a babysitter then got a place..was gonna move the next summer back to Austin but met my then b/f..now husband. Stayed in that shithole for 7 years.. Now I am residing in the wonderful state of Wa..I can never move back home.. they don't have the mountains that I seek...although I do get homesick occasionally.. |
still same place.. for long time :)

Seven years away from my birthplace. I visit there once in a while to relax and relieve myself of the hustle and bustle of city life.
