I always leave my computer on 24/7/365. matter of fact there are at least 4 systems running nonstop in this house.

I found they last longer for some reason but not enough years experience
to make a hardcore study out of that. Just the people that use the switch daily have powersupply and HD issues a thing ive hardly experienced.

Anyway.. going to bed in a few.. bad flu.. ill leave the system on.

btw: i have a sony VAIO laptop thats been on 24/7 for 9 months or so (i use it to monitor my cams) and although the bitch is hotter than my heating it still works.

24/7/365 being I have a few winblows systems here those get rebooted once a week whether I think they need it or not.

Mine is always on.. I reboot about once a week or every other week... I have my monitors and printer on a switch that i turn off at night tho..

if you set your energy saving settings correctly it really doesn't take much energy at all....

Boot up = bad for hard drive = eventual crash = bad news.

Plus, 24/7 no wait time and it helps heat my house as I run cancer research 24/7. :thumbsup

I used to leave it on 24/7 until I bought a tornado fan...good god I guarantee you after 9 months with this new system and the tornado fan I've lost more of my hearing...thing is just sooo fucking loud.

only one laptop these days, but it is always on. i turn it off... never. it goes to sleep if i'm traveling, but is never shut off. ever.

Most of my systems are on 24/7.

I find it crazy to leave my tv on 24/7 when there is no one to watch it.
